The team
Modellers, market analysts, spatial scientists, and operations. Together we work across all eight sectors.

Sanghyun, a modeller and scientist, seeks to view the world through the lens of quantitative models to discover pathways for economically viable and technically feasible decarbonisation, all while minimising human impact on nature. Loves winter and skiing just as much as reading novels.

Jinsu is an environmental and climate researcher specialising in quantitative modelling. Dedicated to creating a sustainable future, Jinsu is passionate about bridging the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical solutions. Jinsu enjoys hiking, exploring during the summer, and meeting new people.

Junga is the operations and financial manager of the organisation. She specialises in non-profit management. Before joining PLANiT, she gained experience at various non-profit organisations and tax accounting firms, alongside over three years of experience in conference management.
Drawing on her expertise in finance, HR, and administration, she is now focused on building a fair and transparent organisation rooted in trust. In her personal time, she enjoys finding balance through writing on her blog.

Hyeryoun is a researcher at PLANiT specialising in the maritime sector. Building on her experience at the intersection of shipbuilding and ESG, she explores pathways to sustainable shipping. She considers a balance between technology and policy, industry and the environment, placing at the centre of her life a perspective that remains true to her convictions while embracing diverse viewpoints.

Joowon is a senior researcher at PLANiT specialising in the finance sector. With financial market backgrounds, she is passionate about bridging the gap between financial markets and environmental sustainability. She enjoys riding bicycle even as a beginner, and values family life.

Ja Hyun is a Senior Researcher at PLANiT, where she develops data-driven insights on future power systems and energy transition policies in Korea and beyond. She brings several years of experience in energy policy and power market analysis, with expertise spanning Asia, the United States, and Europe. With a background in non-profit and international organisations, she believes that well-designed policy can drive innovation and meaningful change toward a cleaner and more sustainable future. Outside of work, she is an avid reader and enjoys listening to music and practising yoga.

Sojin Jun is currently pursuing a master's degree in Ecological Landscape Architecture. She has mainly used Google Earth Engine and QGIS for spatial analysis, and at PLANiT she is strengthening her data visualisation skills with Tableau. Since last year, she has been involved in projects at PLANiT analysing spatial data related to energy and electricity.
She believes map-based data visualisation is essential for understanding and communicating the impacts of renewable energy, which is highly sensitive to climate and the natural environment. She truly enjoys working with the supportive and talented colleagues at PLANiT. After work, she enjoys playing the piano or going for a run to unwind.

Hyunsung is interested in turning energy data into structured insights through forecasting and econometric modelling. He hopes to contribute to model-based analysis of energy markets and energy-related economic dynamics. Outside of work, he enjoys single-player console games, especially those with immersive worlds and thoughtful design.
